This monthly EMDR consultation group aims to help you integrate EMDR into your daily practice. As a consultant, my goal is to help you navigate the challenges and uncertainties that may arise, fostering a sense of empowerment and confidence in your work.

Registration: Once you register, I will email you the intake form, consultation informed consent form for first-time consultees, and payment invoices. Your payment must be made at least three days in advance to confirm your attendance and secure a spot in the group.

Refunds & Cancelations: In order to keep consultation affordable, no refunds will be issued once payment is received, including for missed appointments. This policy is in place to ensure you feel secure and confident in your investment in your professional development.

East Asian Focused EMDR Consultation Group

Being an immigrant from Taiwan with over 20 years of experience living in the U.S. My cultural background has allowed me to work with clients from various East Asian countries, allowing us to connect through our shared cultural context and, at times, language familiarity.
My journey with EMDR began in 2015, when I started my basic training, and I completed it in 2016. Since then, I have been eager to connect with other EMDR-trained clinicians who share my East Asian cultural identity. While negative thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations may be similar, understanding our clients’ cultural backgrounds is crucial for attunement with our clients.
This group offers a unique opportunity for personal growth and learning. We will explore five common negative thoughts experienced by East Asian clients within the context of East Asian culture, specifically influenced by Chinese culture. Each session, we will focus on one specific negative thought, examining both our personal experiences and those of our clients related to that thought. I am excited about the potential for us to learn and grow together in this exploration.
